The University Innovation and Technology Support Office (ITSO) under the Knowledge and Technology Transfer Division (KTTD) served as big brother to the Philippine Science High School – Southern Mindanao Campus (PSHS-SMC) when it conducted a seminar-workshop on Patent Search for Grade 10 and 11 students of the said school. The extension activity took place on September 29-30, 2016 at the Mini Auditorium and CS Lab 1 of PSHS-SMC.
During the opening program, Dr. Danilo B. Pacoy, USeP’s Vice President for Research, Development and Extension, gave the message. He was accompanied by Dr. Rosfe Corlae D. Badoy, Director of KTTD, and the rest of the USeP team.
A team of technical experts on patent search – Engr. Filmann T. Simpao, ITSO Manager, together with Dr. Romel V. Gador and Engr. Michael V. Machica, both former ITSO Managers – served as resource persons and workshop facilitators. KTTD technical staff, Ms. Nathaline Faith P. Sevilla, provided assistance during the extension activity.
A total of 153 grade 10 and 11 students participated in the Patent Search seminar-workshop. Overall clientele satisfaction rating on said activity was excellent.
The University has an existing Memorandum of Agreement with PSHS-SMC on the ITSO, Research, Extension and Consultancy Programs and Services. (RCBadoy)
