Qualitative Research Training-Workshop Series 1 (QUARTS 1): Ethnography for Empowerment


The Continuing Education Center conducted a three-day training-workshop on November 23 at the USeP Social Hall and on November 24-25, 2017 at Highway 81 in Marilog District, Davao City.

Dr. Mervin G. Gascon, Director of Extension Division and associate professor at the College of Development Management of USeP, and Dr. Ronnie V. Amorado, Vice President for Academic Planning Services of the University of Mindanao, served as resource speakers of the event.

QUARTS 1 discussed critical issues and traps in qualitative research and conducted an orientation on Ethnography and Biography: Qualitative Research for Empowerment.

Organized to develop the qualitative problem identification, data gathering and analysis of the participants, the QUARTS 1 also helped improve their critical thinking skills in reading and reviewing scholarly articles.
