Davao City Police Office awards plaque of recognition to USeP

The University of Southeastern Philippines (USeP), with its Sagip Kinabuhi Program 2 (SKP2), was awarded with a plaque of recognition during the 117th Police Service Anniversary celebration on October 3, 2018.

SKP2, one of the extension programs of the University, was launched as a response to the government’s anti-drug campaign. It aims to provide former drug dependents called the Voluntary Submission for Reformation Persons (VSRPs) with opportunities for growth and advancement through Family, Community, Health, and Wellness Development, Spiritual and Moral Recovery, Skills Enhancement Trainings, and After Care/Case Management.

SKP2 was recognized by the Davao City Police Office (DCPO) for contributing to make DCPO the Best City Police Office and Best City Mobile Force Company in 2017.

Dr. Rosfe Corlae D. Badoy, Project Leader of SKP2, received the award on behalf of USeP President, Dr. Lourdes C. Generalao. USeP is currently implementing DSWD-funded technical skills training for former drug dependents and their families.

The event, organized to share DCPO’s awards to its partner agencies and stakeholders, was held at the DCPO Headquarters at San Pedro Street, Davao City.
