USeP alumnus receives New Zealand ASEAN Scholar Awards

Rapha Julysses Perez, an Electrical Engineering graduate from the University of Southeastern Philippines (USeP), is among the 24 Filipinos granted by the New Zealand Government, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT), with the New Zealand ASEAN Scholar Awards.

Perez is enrolled in the Master of Science in Electronic and Computer Systems Program at Victoria University of Wellington in Wellington City, New Zealand. The program, which commenced in February 2019, will run for one (1) year.

Funded by the New Zealand Aid (NZAid) Programme, the scholarship program will equip Perez with skills training that will contribute to the social and economic development of the Philippines.

Among the priority sectors in which the program specializes include Sustainable Agriculture, Renewable Energy, and Disaster Risk studies.

The University, with its goal to produce competitive graduates and professionals, is honored to have one if its graduates embark on a more challenging educational journey. (USeP PR)
