The officials and representatives of the University of Southeastern Philippines, City Government of Davao, Department of Education –Regional Office XI, and Davao City National High School had a meeting today at the USeP, Obrero Campus regarding the proposed establishment of the City-Legislated College in Davao City.

Eyed to be offered in 2020, the proposed City-Legislated College aims to provide education for the deprived, disadvantaged, and marginalized sector like the indigenous peoples of Davao City. The City Government of Davao (CGD) will create a Technical Working Group for this undertaking. It will be composed of representatives from USeP, CGD, DepEd –XI, and Commission on Higher Education, among others.  The CGD will finance a feasibility study that will be spearheaded by the Research Division of USeP.

Asuncion of Department of Education –Regional Office XI; and personnel from Davao City National High School headed by its principal, Dr. Wenefredo E. Cagape.
