SAEc has been active in the establishment of the Social Science and Policy Network - Mindanao (SSPN-Mindanao)

1. Dr. Ed Prantilla was selected as Convenor of SSPN-Mindanao in a meeting called by PIDS.
2. SAEc drafted the Terms of Reference (TOR) for a muliti-perspective forum for Pro-Poor Development in Mindanao entitled "Agrikultura ug Pagkaon: Mindanao, Asa ka Padulong?"
3. SAEc acted as secretariat for SSPN-Mindanao
4. Attended the signing of the MOA for SSPN Mindanao, 18 August 2004, Grand Men Seng Hotel, Davao City.
5. Acted as Coordinator, Head of the Technical Secretariat for the holding of the Multi-Perspective Forum Held the for Pro-Poor Development in Mindanao entitled “Agrikultura ug Pagkaon: Mindanao , Asa ka Padulong” on 20 October 2004 at the Apo View Hotel
6. Finalized the Memorandum of Understanding for the SSPN-Mindanao members

Ed Cruz attended the Fourth Course on Research Methods for Social Scientists (RMSS4), funded by PIDS/DA-BAR, USM Hostel, University of Southern Mindanao, 22-29 June 2004

SAEc through its extension coordinator, Dr. Bayacag, participated in the university-wide RDE Team Building seminar-workshop where SAEc submitted a research proposal to determine the existing and potential resource-generating R and E projects of the university.

USEP and HOLCIM signed a Memorandum of Agreement on April 25, 2005 in connection with the training of 25 BS Economics students on WIWAG. The training was in coordination with the Education for Youth Enterprise Foundation, and all expenses for the 5-day training were shouldered by HOLCIM Philippines, Ilang, Davao City.
