Seminar on Fundamentals of Fire Detection and Alarm Systems (FDAS) and Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV)


Davao City, December 10, 2023 – The College of Technology (CT), via its Extension Office, recently accomplished a remarkable feat by hosting a comprehensive seminar on the Fundamentals of Fire Detection and Alarm Systems (FDAS) and Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV). This pivotal event occurred over two days, December 9th and 10th, at the Florentine Building’s 4th Floor, A. Bonifacio St., Davao City.

The seminar aimed to enhance participants’ expertise in the essential domains of FDAS and CCTV. Attendees were equipped with thorough knowledge of FDAS and CCTV equipment and the intricacies of system design, layouts, and diagrams. This educational event marked a significant step towards bolstering the capabilities of those involved in these critical safety and surveillance systems.

The event saw notable contributions from distinguished professionals in the field. Engr. Arlan Z. Escalante, PECE, Governor of the Institute of Electronics Engineers of the Philippines (IECEP) Davao Chapter, shared his valuable insights. He was joined by Engr. Francis Jay Jumawan is a board director of the IECEP Davao Chapter and a College of Technology faculty member. Engr. Donna Jean L. Larang, USeP alumni, also graced the occasion, enriching the sessions with her expertise.
