Dubbed as three-in-one (3-in-1) Evening Opportunity Short-Term Course, the program is designed to be completed in two hundred twenty-five (225) in-house training hours for out-of-school youth, unemployed adults, marginal workers, underemployed workers and retrenched workers to provide them with quality skills training to gain entry in a particular occupation.
This program is a combination of the three (3) technology components, namely; electrical (building wiring), electronics and microcomputer. The graduates of this course are multi-skilled workers prepared to become general electricians electronic/appliance/computer servicemen.
The contents of this course include the following: safety and work practices, electric circuits, tools, materials and devices, symbols and diagrams, instrumentation/metering system, wiring methods. Identifying electronic components, circuit analysis, components testing, amplifiers, principles of heterodyne receiver, introduction of TV system, TV servicing techniques, computer system, elements of computer system, software and hardware operation, memory, assembly and disassembly of microcomputer, diagnostic software and set-up windows systems and other applications.
To further enhance skills development, an on-the-job-training for 450 hours is required each trainee after the in-house trainings.
