Bachelor of Elementary Education
The BEED is an undergraduate teacher education degree program designed to prepare individuals intending to teach in the elementary level. The BEED degree program aims to develop highly and motivated competent teachers specializing in the content and pedagogy for elementary education. After successful completion of all academic requirements of the degree/program, graduates of BEED should be able to practice the teaching profession in the elementary level. The BEED degree program draws from various allied disciplines like social sciences, science, math, technology, languages, and humanities to ensure that the graduates have multi-disciplinary preparation in content and pedagogy.
PROSPECTUS
Bachelor of Special Needs Education
The Bachelor of Special Needs Education (Generalist) is an undergraduate teacher education program which specializes in Special Needs Education. The BSNEd program prepares teachers who will instruct and manage students with additional needs in inclusive and segregated educational settings. Its graduates will be equipped to teach the Basic Education curriculum and alternate curricula depending on the needs of the students. Generalists will be trained to teach across different subject areas and provide educational support to students with additional needs in inclusive classrooms or provide educational services to students who may be enrolled in special education centers.
Bachelor of Early Childhood Education
The BECEd is a four-year program. Specifically, this program provides students with fundamental understanding and application of the principles of early childhood care and education, as well as experience in the application of these principles.
This program aims to educate individuals to be competent early childhood practitioners working with children from 0-8 years old in various early childhood settings (home, community, school, and workplace). It is aligned with the National Early Learning Framework (NELF), the National Competency Based Teacher Standards (NCBTS 2017), the Philippine Professional Standards for Teachers (PPST 2017), and the first key stage which is K to 3.
Bachelor of Secondary Education
The BSEd major in Mathematics and English is an undergraduate teacher education program designed to equip learners with adequate and relevant competencies in Mathematics and English in the secondary level. It aims to develop highly motivated and competent teachers specializing in the content and pedagogy for secondary education. After successful completion of all academic requirements for the degree/program, graduates of BSEd should be able to practice the teaching profession in the Secondary Level. The BSEd degree program draws from various allied disciplines like social sciences, science, math, technology, languages, and humanities to ensure that the graduates have a multi-disciplinary preparation in content and pedagogy.
Bachelor of Science in Information Technology
The BS Information Technology program includes the study of the utilization of hardware and software technologies involving planning, installing, customizing, operating, managing and administering, and maintaining information technology infrastructure that provides computing solutions to address the needs of an organization.
Bachelor of Technical-Vocational Teacher Education
This course consist of competencies that a person must achieve in the production of ornamental and agronomic plant such as vegetable's, fruits, and nuts as well as root crops. They would be undertaking basic crop husbandry and work orientation skills. The course introduced some agricultural innovations such as hydroponics and soil and waste management system.
The BTVTEd program major in Animal Production (ACP) is an undergraduate teacher education program that equip learners with adequate and relevant competencies in teaching AP and other related areas in Industrial Arts or Home Economics or Agri-Fishery Arts – the areas of technical and vocational track in the K to 12 Curriculum.
This course is designed to enhance the knowledge, skills and desirable attitudes in animal production. It consists of competencies that a person must achieve to raise poultry, raise small ruminants, raise swine and raise large ruminants. It also includes the competencies required to participate in workplace communication, work in team environment, practice career professionalism and practice occupational health and safety procedures.
The BTVTEd program major in Animal Production (AP) is an undergraduate teacher education program that equip learners with adequate and relevant competencies in teaching AP and other related areas in Industrial Arts or Home Economics or Agri-Fishery Arts – the areas of technical and vocational track in the K to 12 Curriculum.
