The Office of the Alumni, the Office of Student Affairs with the College of Governance and Business conducted a seminar on Sexual Harassment as part of Gender And Development (GAD) activities on January 28, 2016 at the University Social Hall.
The seminar was participated by faculty members, office staff and students from BS in Business Administration, BS in Entrepreneurship and BS in Hospitality Management. Ms. Lourdes P. Amerkhan, a supervising Human Resource Specialist from the Civil Service Commission (CSC) Regional Office XI and a GAD Focal Person was the invited resource speaker. She talked on the topics: “What is Sexual Harassment?” and “Remedies of Victims of Sexual Harassment”.
The seminar was very informative and the students actively participated in the open forum. With the success of the event, the office of the GAD in coordination with the other colleges are planning to conduct the same seminar to all faculty members, non- teaching staff and students of USeP.

A photo exhibit Li-li sa kamatuoran by Katrina Belen M. Roble, A peek into Reality held at College of Education lobby, University of Southeastern Philippines from December 15-18 2015, 8am-5pm.
It is a photography exhibit that features the life, needs, and concerns of female inmates at Ray of Hope Village, Davao City. The photography exhibit is the production part of the artist’s thesis entitled: “Vignettes Behind Bars: A Closer Look into the Lives of Female Inmates of Ray of Hope Village”.
Li-li sa kamatuoran is the artist’s way of visual story telling photographs. The artist aims to raise awareness on the reality of the life behind bars, allowing the viewers to see through her eyes and look at the photographs in their own perspective.
These works are mementos of the artist’s journey as she immortalizes moments that evoke emotions through photographs.
Last February 14, 2015, the selected faculty and staff from different campuses of University of Southeastern Philippines participated the “One Billion Rising Dance Revolution” at Rizal Park. Davao City. Women and men from different sectors gathered for a dance revolution to end all form of violence against women.
