College of Information and Computing - Local Council (CIC-LC)

  

The College of Information and Computing Local Council (CIC-LC) is the highest student-governing body in the College of Information and Computing of the University of Southeastern Philippines- Obrero Campus.

The College of Information and Computing Local Council has partnered and participated in events that benefit the majority of the students in the college based on its range planning.

Computer Science Society (CSS)

CSS Logo

Computer Science Society (CSS) is the official organization of the Bachelor of Science in Computer Science of the University of Southeastern Philippines. The organization is being founded to foster harmonious relationship among the members in the College of Information and Computing with the ideals of creating a school environment conducive to the pursuit of knowledge. The organization shall also encourage the establishment of an academic community whereby students commit themselves to serious works and studies. The organization upholds the pursuit of knowledge designed to develop the student’s awareness and competence in the field of Computer Science.

Aims and Objectives

    1. To foster harmonious relationship among the members in the College of Information and Computing with ideas of creating a school environment conducive to the pursuit of knowledge.
    2. It shall encourage the establishment of an academic community whereby students commit themselves on serious works and studies.
    3. The organization upholds the pursuit of knowledge designed to develop the student’s awareness and competence in the field of Computer Science.
    4. To enhance each member’s educational, civic and social life through relevant programs and activities.
    5. To inculcate to the minds of the Computer Science students refined habit of thought and dignity of actions necessary for creating a disciplined and morally upright environment.
    6. Every Computer Science student member assumes a responsibility towards the organization.

Guild of Young Information Specialist (GYIS)

The Guild of Young Information Specialist is an academic-oriented organization that aims to foster the aspirants of the future information specialists that should acquire leadership skills, excellent knowledge, and talent through quality training, exposure.

OBJECTIVES

1. Promote activities where the faculty and students of Library and Information Science may become acquainted, academically and socially

2. Maintain a high standard of learning by providing necessary materials in accordance with the organization’s capability.

3. Enhance the learning experience and leadership of its members thru various programs like seminars/workshops, training, and symposium as well as visitations.

4. Prepare oneself to be an Information Specialist.

Society of Information Technology Students (SITS)

Society of Information Technology Students (SITS) is the official organization of the Bachelor in Science of Information Technology of the University of Southeastern Philippines. The organization is being founded to foster harmonious relationships among the members of the College of Information and Computing with the ideals of creating a school environment conducive to the pursuit of knowledge. The organization shall also encourage the establishment of an academic community whereby students commit themselves to serious work and studies. The organization upholds the pursuit of knowledge designed to develop the students’ awareness and competence in the field of Information Technology.
