Lights illuminated the dark and applauses abounded as the USeP Palaro Grand Production Night commenced at USeP Gymnasium and Cultural Center last September 16 with its theme, “Laserlight: Uniting the diverse colors of light towards a globally competitive university.“
OSS Directress Susan Vincent D. Villarente talked about the theme of this year’s Palaro during her opening speech. She compared the laserlight to the students of the university who are all working together to become the “brightest light of all”.
OCSC President Are Jay M. Castro spoke next about unity. He also presented the new USeP emblem, the Raging Eagles, which will be used to represent the university in future events and interschool competitions.
The production numbers, which ranged from song performances to dance pieces, filled the dome with cheers.
The university groups ho performed included The Jungle Divas, The Electrical Engineering (EE) Youth, Anonymous, USeP as One, Negative Four, the winners and contestants for Vocal Solo and Kundiman contests, university bands, and OCSC officers.
The gym was jam-packed during the Grand Production which lasted for more than an hour.
