Officials of the University of Southeastern Philippines are aiming that year 2010 will be better than the previous years in terms of achievements and development in the areas of instruction, research, extension, production and governance. To materialize this aim, the University started year 2010 with a planning workshop that focused on work and financial plan as well as the procurement of the various colleges and units of the University’s five campuses.
The planning activity held on January 8 at the USeP Obrero campus was participated in by the admin officials headed by President Perfecto A. Alibin and the two Vice Presidents, Dr. Rodulfo C. Sumugat and Dr. Daniel T. Ugay, Jr; deans of colleges; and heads and directors of different administrative, academic and academic-related units.
At the onset of the planning workshop, Dr. Alibin underscored the importance of planning on decision-making and in setting priorities and focus. He also challenged all the participants, specifically the deans of colleges to exert all effort and strategize so they can outdo their last year’s accomplishments, particularly performance in government standardized examinations.
Miss Ma. Luisa B. Faunillan, chief administrative officer of the Finance Division used the activity as a venue to orient the participants on the new Commission on Audit (COA) rules and regulations.
Output of the planning workshop was a work and financial plan of each college and unit that is consistent with their respective annual procurement plan.
