The Mathematics and Statistics Department of the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) is thrilled to announce our Lecture Series in Mathematics and Statistics, on October 25, 2024, via Zoom.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The Lecture Series will feature two speakers: Dr. Sergio R. Canoy, Jr., and Associate Professor Johniel E. Babiera.<\/span><\/p>\n Dr. Canoy, a Professor Emeritus of Mathematics at the Mindanao State University – Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT), has published 240 papers in national and international journals. His research interests include Henstock integration, topology, graph theory, and algebraic structures.<\/span><\/p>\n Assoc. Prof. Babiera, a faculty member at MSU-IIT, teaches courses like Statistical Computing, Regression Analysis, Time Series Analysis, Categorical Data Analysis, Bayesian Statistics, and Machine Learning.
