[\ud835\udde5\ud835\uddd8\ud835\uddd6\ud835\uddd8\ud835\udde1\ud835\udde7\ud835\udddf\ud835\uddec \ud835\uddd6\ud835\udde2\ud835\udde1\ud835\uddd6\ud835\udddf\ud835\udde8\ud835\uddd7\ud835\uddd8\ud835\uddd7] In an effort to promote health education and awareness, the University of Southeastern Philippines (USeP) College of Development Management (CDM) held a seminar on \u201cHealth Awareness: Drug Resistance and Oral Hygiene\u201d on November 8, 2024. Spearheaded by the College\u2019s Health Services Division, the event brought together faculty and staff to discuss critical issues related to drug resistance and oral health, with the aim of fostering healthier lifestyle choices within the USeP community.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

In her opening remarks, Ms. Angelica Ellaiza O. Tajos, Human Resource Head of CDM, shared the importance of community engagement and knowledge sharing in health education. She also highlighted the College\u2019s commitment to health and wellness as an integral part of its developmental mission.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Dr. Maiu Liwen Comendador, one of the speakers, delivered an in-depth presentation on \u201cUnderstanding Drug Resistance.\u201d Dr. Comendador discussed the causes and severe consequences of drug resistance, emphasizing the role of awareness and preventive action.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Following this, Dr. Angeline Abellar took the stage to discuss \u201cOral Hygiene.\u201d Dr. Abellar connected the significance of oral health to overall well-being, addressing common oral diseases such as cavities, gingivitis, and periodontitis, and their preventable causes. Her talk included actionable tips for maintaining lifelong dental health, helping participants understand the link between oral hygiene and their broader health.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Nurse Kia Cadayona of CDM delivered the closing remarks, expressing gratitude to all participants and speakers for their engagement and commitment to health improvement. She highlighted the role of continuous education in fostering a healthy campus community and encouraged attendees to apply what they learned to benefit both their personal and professional lives.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The seminar\u2019s objectives were successfully achieved, creating a platform for health awareness and education. Topics covered included the causes and prevention of drug resistance, the impact of oral health on overall health, and practical strategies for maintaining good oral hygiene. Through community-focused education, USeP CDM continues to lead initiatives that inspire positive lifestyle changes among its faculty, staff, and students.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
