The University of Southeastern Philippines – College of Development Management (USeP-CDM) recently concluded its extension program on the Community Policing Innovation Laboratory (RTC-CoP Lab) held at Merecido Hall, RTC XI, Mintal, Davao City, from July 15-17, 2024. This event marked a significant step forward in fostering community-oriented policing practices and enhancing the skills of police officers.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The three-day program was actively participated in by the training staff and students of PSJLC 2024-02 Alpha to Charlie. The PSJLC officers-students engaged in a comprehensive knowledge creation process encompassing four essential components: (1) Community Environmental Scanning; (2) Community Project Planning; (3) Project Implementation; and (4) Project Monitoring and Evaluation. During the program, the officers-students successfully completed Module 1 – Community Environmental Scanning.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The remaining three modules will be scheduled within the year to ensure the participants complete the full cycle of the Community Policing Innovation Laboratory.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The program featured distinguished resource speakers who provided expert insights and guided the participants through various critical topics:<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

– Dr. Rec E. Eguia – The lead of the RTC-CoP Lab Program<\/div>\n
-Mr. Roel S. Sayson and Ms. Charibelle I. Laborte – Introduction to Participatory Rapid Appraisal and Tools of Participatory Rapid Appraisal<\/div>\n
– Asst. Prof. Rae Katherine D. Adona – Stakeholders Analysis<\/div>\n
– Ms. Kethelle I. Sajonia – Gender Sensitivity Analysis<\/div>\n
– Dr. Rommel V. Recla – Conflict Sensitivity Analysis<\/div>\n
– Ms. Richelle C. Pacoy – Data Processing, Analysis, and Interpretation<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Facilitators for the event included Dr. Alan B. Alejandrino, Mr. Richard E. Aceron, Mr. Eric P. Ricablanca, and Engr. Arc Alegado, who ensured the smooth conduct of the sessions and provided valuable support to the participants.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

USeP-CDM extends its heartfelt gratitude to PCOL Marvin A. Fontalva, Regional Director of RTC XI, for his invitation and unwavering support to this vital initiative.
