The marching band of University of Southeastern Philippines is made up of well-trained talents. Every semester, the band is in search of new applicants for new members as replacement of the ones graduating or leaving the group. The group was composed of talented college students who were studying in the academe.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"FIL-PH\">For many years, the group has been founded on friendship, commitment and undying love for music. The group continues to do what they\u2019ve been doing for several years now. The University Chorale is the University\u2019s representative for every invitation of singing competitions across the region. Many have witnessed University Chorale\u2019s growth made possible by the help of the mentors, friends and members. Several competitions were staged and many singing engagements were made by the group to raise funds and entertain their fans, and they are still looking forward for more. However, the University Chorale\u2019s life is truly more than just singing. The members of the group are also actively participating in various advocacies and activities of socio-civic organization relevent to their objectives.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"FIL-PH\">With a stronger commitment to serve the academe, the University chorale stands still with one mission that gives meaning to what they do. It is a distinct contribution to the musical culture of the nation. We\u2019re glad to be a part of it. The filipino rondalla has a wide repertoire ranging from the simple folk songs to the modern and contemporary tunes as well as filipino and foreign classics. The members of this group played: banduria, laou,octavina,guitar, and double bass.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"FIL-PH\">We intend to bring cheers to everyone, filipinos and non-filipinos. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"kc-elm kc-css-935562 kc_accordion_section group \"><h3 class=\"kc_accordion_header ui-accordion-header\"><span class=\"ui-accordion-header-icon ui-icon\"><\/span><a href=\"#university-dance-troupe-pangkat-silayan-theatre-collective\" data-prevent=\"scroll\"><i class=\"sl-bulb\"><\/i> University Dance Troupe (Pangkat Silayan Theatre Collective)<\/a><\/h3><div class=\"kc_accordion_content ui-accordion-content kc_clearfix\"><div class=\"kc-panel-body\"><div class=\"kc-elm kc-css-581565 kc_text_block\"><p>\n<span lang=\"FIL-PH\">The University Dance Troupe\u00a0is a\u00a0Philippine\u00a0folkloric dance troupe based in the Southeastern Mindanao\u00a0region of the\u00a0Philippines. According to its official website,\u00a0<\/span><em><span lang=\"FIL-PH\">\u201cIts repertoire consists of Philippine traditional dances and music showing a kaleidoscope of Philippine culture through the performing arts.\u201d<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"FIL-PH\">The company was founded in 1980 at the University of Southeastern Philippines in\u00a0Davao City\u00a0by Mr. Guillermo Dimaligalig. The group was initially called the<span class=\"apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><strong>University<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Dance Troupe<\/strong>. The troupe first performed in September 1980 at the celebration of its College Day. The success of the dance troupe brought in invitations for the group to perform in other parts of the regions and eventually, the rest of the country and the world. Philippine President\u00a0Fidel V. Ramos\u00a0designated the dance troupe as Official Cultural Ambassadors of the Philippines to the USA for 1981. In 1985, the group became an independent entity from the Holy Infant College and was reorganized. In 1990, the group received its present name upon the creation of the University Dance Troupe Cultural Foundation, which to this day still manages the activities of the dance troupe.
