The University of Southeastern Philippines (USeP) starts its 3rd remote AACCUP (Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines) Accreditation through an opening meeting via Zoom last December 7, 2020, 9:00 AM.
This activity is in line with the University’s goal to provide quality education to its stakeholders despite the current health crisis. In its first-ever experience for a level 3 phase 2 accreditation at the graduate program level, the University underwent for evaluation the College of Education’s Doctor of Education and Master in Education programs. Scheduled also in this visit, was the evaluation of the College of Agriculture and Related Sciences’ Bachelor of Science in Forestry.
During her opening message, Vice President for Planning and Quality Assurance Dr. Tamara Cher Mercado, stressed that achieving higher levels of accreditation is important in the University’s bid in becoming an institution that it endeavours to be in the coming years. She shared her gratitude to the faculty and staff of the University for the support given in order to ensure that the University remains on track with its goals in providing quality education to its students.
Dr. Lourdes C. Generalao, University President, shared her appreciation to the faculty and staff of the University for their unwavering efforts despite the current pandemic. She emphasized that everything that the University has achieved is due to dedication for continual improvement manifesting the commitment that the USeP community has held despite the challenges and disadvantages brought by the current situation. Lastly, she expressed her gratitude to the AACCUP Accreditation team.
The introduction of the AACCUP as well as the USeP accreditation team followed. This 3rd remote AACCUP accreditation will end on December 9, 2020 and will be the last accreditation survey of the year.
