The University of Southeastern Philippines (USeP) was awarded as champion during the 2021 Gender and Development (GAD) Summit of HEIs in Davao Region last January 22, 2021 via the Zoom platform. The Commission on Higher Education Regional Office-XI executives were present as the awarding body of the activity.

The summit also served as an awarding ceremony of outstanding practices in the implementation of CMO No.1 s, 2015, also known as “Establishing the Policies and Guidelines on Gender and Development in CHED and Higher Education Institutions”

The USeP’s Gender and Development Office (GAD) was announced as the first placer in the following categories: Best Practice on the Implementation of GAD In the Tri-focal Functions, Best Practice on the Implementation of GAD in the Extension Function of HEIs, and Best Practice on the Implementation of GAD in the Research Function of HEIs bagging the overall champion title for the 2021 GADTimpala.
