The University is ranked 59th in the Philippines’ Top 100 Webometrics University Ranking (January 2023).

The Webometrics Ranking is an initiative of the Cybermetrics Lab, a research group of the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas in Spain.

The ranking is based on web contents impact (visibility 50%), top-cited researchers (openness 10%), and top cited papers (excellence 40%) as reported by the Spanish National Research Council’s Webometrics, a ranking system that evaluates the performance of more than 22,000 universities in the world.

According to Webometrics, the ranking is based on a composite indicator that assesses a website’s visibility and activity. Visibility is evaluated through a count of the external links that a university web domain receives from third parties. These data indicate the university’s “conventional prestige, academic performance, the value of information, and usefulness of services”.
