USeP-OUR launches enhanced SRIS

The Office of the University Registrar (OUR) launched the Enhanced Student Records Information System (eSRIS) and held its first Uniwide Quarterly Meeting last February 27, 2023, at the University Social Hall, USeP-Obrero Campus.

The event started with the welcome remarks from OUR Director, Dr. Maureen M. Villamor, followed by the opening message of Dr. Bonifacio G. Gabales Jr., Vice President for Academic Affairs. The program then continued with the presentation of the eSRIS by Mr. Rommil P. Nuñez, Registrar II.

OUR showcased its developed system through a creative Audio-Visual Presentation (AVP). The video was presented in the presence of members of the USeP Top Management. After presenting the AVP, the program proceeded with the unveiling of the eSRIS led by the University President, Dr. Lourdes C. Generalao.

The executives were impressed at the progression of the OUR, as they believed that with the innovation of this system, transactions are now smoother and more efficient for the students. The development of the SRIS contributed to the office in securing the Top Two (2) Performing Delivery Unit under the frontline services in 2021. To date, the eSRIS has already been integrated in Tagum-Mabini Campus, making a huge positive change in the Registrar’s Office. The Mintal Campus is yet to adopt this system as they are still preparing their records to be eSRIS-ready.

For the afternoon session, the program proceeded with the Orientation of eSRIS and the presentation of the new and revised OUR Procedure Manuals, both presented by Dr. Villamor. It was then followed by the eSRIS workshop and training conducted by Mr. Nuñez. All OUR personnel were immersed in the training, as everyone took part in sharing their ideas and concerns for the betterment of the system.

Moving forward with the program, Dr. Fedelis C. Bonocan, Admission Unit Deputy Director, and Nimfa V. Maniscan, Registrar III of OUR Obrero Campus, facilitated the Personality and Work Ethics Training. The training stressed the importance of ethics in the workplace and the significance of possessing a well-rounded personality in the office, reminding everyone that we are one family pursuing the same goal.

The program ended with the Quarterly Meeting facilitated by Engr. Editha L. Hebron,  OUR Deputy Director of Tagum-Mabini Campus. The meeting aimed to address the existing problems and to identify what steps needed to be taken to achieve the deliverables in the succeeding quarters, as well as to improve the services offered to the University clientele.

The launching of the eSRIS is one of the milestones for the OUR. It truly changed the landscape of the office in terms of handling requests, and other procedures with the help of the technological trends available in this modern world.

This innovation is just the beginning, and it will continue to get better from here as #WeBuildDreamsWithoutLimits.
