USePAT opens in Malabog Ext. Campus for Academic Year 2023-2024

Around 135 student-applicants are scheduled to take the University of Southeastern Philippines- Admission Test (USePAT) for the Malabog Extension Campus (MEC) on April 13-14, 2023 at the Paquibato National High School, Brgy. Paquibato Proper, Paquibato District, Davao City.

By opening a USePAT at USeP-MEC, the University is able to bring inclusive and culturally sensitive higher education services closer to far-flung communities and indigenous peoples (IPs) located in geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas (GIDAs). Currently, the extension campus offers two (2) academic programs suited to the needs of the communities in the area namely, Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness and Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship.

USePAT, which is open only once in an academic year, serves as an important mechanism of the University to maintain its high standard of education and to maximize its limited resources in view of the University’s status as a recipient of Republic Act 10931 otherwise known as Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act.

It can be recalled that the USeP-MEC was launched in June 2022 and is an expression of the University’s commitment to contribute to peace building programs of the Government, especially in Region Xl.
