The University of Southeastern Philippines (USeP) successfully kicked off its highly anticipated University-wide Career Fair, organized by the Career and Alumni Center (CAC) in collaboration with the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) Davao and the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) XI. The event, held on June 6-7, 2023 at the University Gymnasium and Cultural Center (UGCC), brought together graduating students, alumni, industry professionals, and a diverse range of employers.
The event boasted the participation of seventy-three (73) local employers and three (3) international employers, creating a dynamic marketplace of job opportunities for aspiring applicants. Complementing the employers’ presence, government agencies offered the “Employment One Stop Shop” to facilitate the securing of necessary employment documents. Notably, twenty (20) applicants were hired on the spot (HOTS) during the event, with others being scheduled for further assessments and considered for inclusion in the talent pool for future opportunities.
This year’s University-wide Career Fair truly exemplifies the University’s unwavering commitment to nurturing well-rounded and job-ready graduates. The event fostered direct interactions between employers and potential talent, while also providing a platform for interested applicants to showcase their skills, gain invaluable insights into the job market, and establish meaningful professional networks.
