Vice President for Planning and Quality Assurance Dr. Tamara Cher R. Mercado and Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Jeneifer C. Nueva represented the University of Southeastern Philippines (USeP) in the Ecosystem Approach to Designing and Implementing Outcomes-Based Education Training Workshop held on March 12 to 15, 2024 in Bangkok, Thailand.

This workshop is a joint initiative of the ASEAN University Network-Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) Network and Education Quality International (EQI). The AUN-QA Network is established to address the need to harmonize educational standards and seek continuous improvement of the academic quality of universities in the ASEAN Region.

Among the objectives of the four-day workshop are to help the participants design curriculum of study program based on the OBE ecosystem framework; apply the principle of integrated constructive alignment of the curriculum to the ecosystem, design cross-disciplinary curriculum based on emerging approaches in integrated curriculum design; and establish objective and subjective measures to assess outputs, outcomes, and impact including the use of data analytics.

This undertaking is part of USeP’s relentless efforts to pursue its goal to internationalize University programs and services and vision to become a premier research university in the ASEAN and beyond.
