Guided by the university’s vision to be a premier research University transforming communities in the ASEAN and beyond, the caravan was designed as a direct engagement initiative with academic unit stakeholders, particularly faculty members, program chairpersons, research center managers, research and development head, and extension heads/coordinators. It is designed as a strategic platform for sharing information and facilitating knowledge exchange, providing clarity on the existing policies, and effectively bridging the gap between academic units and RDE initiatives. Each session featured presentations on the management of research and extension programs, projects and activities, knowledge and technology transfer management, publication incentives, fabrication services, Metals and Engineering Innovation Center (MEIC) services, process for reviewing agreements and guidelines for unit credit allocation The open forums provided a valuable space for each academic unit to raise concerns, share best practices, and propose actionable recommendations for improved implementation and coordination.

The RDE Team expresses its gratitude to the deans, faculty members, and RDE implementers from each academic unit for the warm welcome, active participation, and meaningful contributions during the caravan. The RDE Team values the trust, support, and commitment shown throughout the series of engagements.

In return, the RDE Team affirms its dedication to addressing the concerns raised by each academic unit and ensuring continuous communication, guidance, and collaboration. With the completion of this initiative, the office strengthens its resolve to champion research excellence, innovation, and community engagement that are relevant, inclusive, and transformative, not only within the University but across the ASEAN region and beyond.
