The Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACUP) Survey Visit in the University of Southeastern Philippines (USeP) runs from November 11-16, 2019.
The officials of the University, deans, program heads, AACCUP team leaders and accreditors, faculty members, staff and students mostly in the new curriculum were at attendance during the opening program of this 3-day visit at the University Social Hall, Obrero Campus.
The said activity aims to assess and upgrade the educational quality of higher education institutions and programs as well as means of assuring and improving the quality of education of the University.
The AACUP conducts a Survey Visit for the different programs and different levels under the College of Education (CEd) and the College of Technology (CT) of USeP. This is the first attempt of USeP to submit four programs for Level IV Accreditation Visit.
Dr. Bonifacio G. Gabales Jr., Vice President for Planning and Quality Assurance, delivered the welcome remarks.
In his message, he highlighted the efforts of USeP in pursuing quality and high standard services and systems through submitting to different accrediting bodies.
“It is a sign and a manifestation that USeP is into continuous quality improvement. This is all because we want to serve the best to our clients, our students of the University”, he said.
Dr. Lourdes C. Generalao, the University President, also gave a message. She emphasized the achievements of the University with regards to accreditations.
In her message, she said,
“With all the accreditation visits we’ve had in the University, we have been made familiar with the processes and requirements needed but I believe there’s something new to it every time. Sometimes after the accreditation survey, we realize we need to adopt or refine existing processes and guidelines in the University that would further our efforts in providing quality education.”
Dr. Remigio L. Obrero, the overall coordinator of this AACUP survey visit, introduced the AACCUP Accreditation Team.

Dr. Henry C. Encabo, Quality Affairs Division (QAD), closed the program.
AACCUP has become a constant partner of USeP in helping as improve the programs being offered in the University.
The University is treating this visit as a tool to help improve the systems and processes of the University.
