Horror-drama short film of USeP-CIC wins in Inter-school Short Film Festival


The College of Information and Computing of the University of Southeastern Philippines (USeP) brought pride to the University as it championed a short film competition during the annual Philippine Society of Information Technology Students (PSITS) XI: Interschool Short Film Festival.

“Shift”, a horror-drama film that portrayed the challenges of an IT student, rose above the 13 entries coming from the different schools in the Davao Region.

Movie premiere and the awarding ceremony happened last January 20 at Gaisano Grand CityGate Cinema 1. The film was hailed as the Best Short Film (Champion) and among the awards were Best Director (Earl Lemuel Egos), Best Actor (Vincent Edriel Escoton), Best Poster, Best Trailer, Best Screenplay, Best Cinematography, Best Editing (Ciandryl Dayaganon), and People’s Choice Award in the Poster Category.
