The University of Southeastern Philippines’ Publication Office conducted a two-day workshop-seminar titled “Packaging Papers for Journal Publication” on January 20 and 21, 2020 at the Waterfront Insular Hotel, Davao City.
Attended by various researchers from the University, particularly those who delivered papers during the Sustainable Agroecosystems and Emerging Innovations International Research Conference (SAEIIRC) held last December 12-13, 2019, the workshop was facilitated by Dr. Ravindra Joshi from the Tropical Agriculture Association as guest reviewer.
The seminar included both lecture and writing sessions, and was conducted with the goal of acquainting the researchers with the Open Journal System and create their own Open Researcher and Contributor IDs, as well as further revise their manuscripts before publication.
Dr. Shirley Villanueva, the Vice President for Research, Development, and Extension, delivered the opening remarks and stressed that publication is a great leap forward for USeP’s scientific community.
The Southeastern Philippines Journal of Research and Development, the official academic journal of the university, will release its first issue for 2020 in March, containing the papers submitted by the researchers capacitated from this workshop.
