Being true to its commitment to a process of continual improvement, the USeP is conducting a 5-day Internal Quality Audit (IQA) across the Colleges and Offices in all campuses of the University from January 27-31, 2020. This IQA is conducted mandatorily in compliance with the ISO 9001:2015 standard.
This is done to ensure and verify conformity of the QMS to ISO 9001:2015 standard as well as to review effectiveness of corrective actions taken by each office/college.
This will guide USeP in effectively implementing its documented system and in identifying areas for improvement. Also, it is an important part of USeP’s quality management system and it is a key element in the ISO quality system standard, ISO 9001:2015.
The opening program on January 27, 9am at the University Hostel Training Hall was attended by Dr. Bonifacio G. Gabales Jr., Vice President for Academic Affairs who represented the University President Dr. Lourdes C. Generalao; Dr. Danilo C. Galarion, IQA overall team leader in USeP Obrero Campus; Dr. Reynaldo M. Nogodula, IQA overall team leader in USeP Tagum Campus; and Dr. Hyde D. Nadela, IQA overall team leader in USeP Mintal Campus, spearheaded the meeting; and Mr. Henry C. Encabo, the Quality Assurance Division Director discussed the IQA Audit Plan and assigned the auditors as well.
It can be recalled that USeP was certified ISO 9001:2015 and successfully passed the ISO 9001:2015 1st Surveillance Audit Visit last May 27-28, 2019.
Through this IQA, USeP ensures optimal performance of its quality management system for the benefit of the entire organization as well as its stakeholders.
As stressed in the Quality Policy, the University is dedicated to a process of continual improvement, satisfying applicable requirements of the standards, addressing risks, and maximizing opportunities. (RMAcedo)
