USeP facilitates Webinar Series on Capacitating Teachers and Staff in Handling International Students

Through its International Affairs Division (IAD), the University recently facilitated a Webinar Series on Capacitating Teachers and Staff in Handling International Students. The activity has three (3) sessions that focused on diverse topics such as the AFEP Project Orientation, Cross-cultural Communication to Teaching Innovations, and Blended Learning Modality considering the new normal setting.

The first session was conducted last June 17, 2021, which highlighted the International Partnership with the Philippines Association for Friendship and Education Promotion (AFEP) – a partnership that promotes Cultural and Values Awareness and opens doors and opportunities for inclusivity and cooperation. The second session was held last June 24, 2021. This session centered on the basic Mandarin expressions that the faculty and staff can use as they handle international students. On June 30, 2021, the last session of the webinar series was conducted. The third session focused on Teaching Innovations and Trends in the New Normal, and Flexible and Blended Learning Modality.

The University, through its IAD, will continue to stay committed to providing and initiating Internationalization activities and programs that will strengthen and nurture the Partnership not only with AFEP but with all the institutional partners of the University internationally.
