The University of Southeastern Philippines (USeP) underwent the rigorous process of accrediting twelve (12) of its academic programs through the AACCUP program accreditation on May 24-26, 2023. Led by esteemed Coordinators- Dr. Jaime M. Forbes from BPSU, Dr. Manuel A. Sanchez Jr. from ISATU, and Dr. Enrico R. Rivan from LSPU, a team of accreditors evaluated nine (9) programs at the Obrero campus. These programs include Bachelor of Elementary Education (4th Survey Ph 2), Bachelor of Secondary Education (4th Survey Ph 2), Bachelor of Physical Education (4th Survey Ph 2), Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (4th Survey Ph 2), Bachelor of Special Needs Education (4th Survey Ph 2), Bachelor of Technical and Vocational Teacher Education (4th Survey Ph 2), BS in Entrepreneurship (3rd Survey Ph 2), BS in Hospitality Management (3rd Survey Ph 2), and BS in Economics (3rd Survey Ph 2). Additionally, three (3) programs at the USeP Tagum Unit, Tagum-Mabini Campus, were also evaluated. These programs include MS in Agriculture (3rd Survey Ph 2), Bachelor of Secondary Education (4th Survey Ph 2), and BS in Agriculture with majors in Agronomy, Horticulture, and Animal Science (4th Survey Ph 2).
This activity serves as a robust demonstration of the University’s commitment to ensuring and upholding quality standards. By actively engaging in program accreditation, the University emphasizes its dedication to continuous improvement, as well as the enhancement of program credibility and recognition. Additionally, it underscores the University’s adherence to regulatory standards, ensuring compliance and fostering a culture of excellence.
Dr. Tamara Cher R. Mercado, Vice President for Planning and Quality Assurance, delivered the message of the University President, Dr. Lourdes C. Generalao. In her expression of commitment, Dr. Generalao conveyed her unwavering commitment to upholding excellence within the university and reaffirmed her dedication to providing students with an education that equips them with the essential knowledge, skills, and values for achieving success. She expressed her belief in the collective ability of the university community to overcome challenges, adapt to change, and consistently deliver excellence. Emphasizing the importance of fostering a culture of innovation, research, and community service, she urged everyone to work together towards this shared goal.
