USeP holds budget forum for FY 2025

As USeP continues to adopt the national budgeting system which aims to improve the efficiency of underlying processes like planning, procurement, cash management, and payment systems, the University conducts a Budget Review and Consultation on February 12, 2024, at the University Social Hall, USeP-Obrero, Davao City.

The orientation aims to ensure the implementation readiness of proposals through better procurement planning, programming of projects and activities, and coordination among colleges and offices.

Moreover, holding a forum to tackle the FY 2025 ensures that the University budget proposal is consistent with the priorities and policy directions of the current administration as embodied in the 8-point Socioeconomic Agenda and the Philippine Development Plan (PDP) 2023-2028; priority programs and projects outlined in the FY 2023-2028 Public Investment Program (PIP) and FY 2025-2027 Three-Year Rolling Infrastructure Program (TRIP); Regional Development Council XI priority PAPs; USeP Strategic Plan 2022-2027; USeP Institutional Development Plan 2025-2027; USeP 6-point priority agenda; Land Use Development and Infrastructure Plan 2022-2031; and Program accreditation, assessment, and certification requirements.

University President, Dr. Bonifacio G. Gabales, Jr., represented by the Vice President for Administration, Dr. Maria Luisa B. Faunillan, emphasized the importance of setting priorities in allocating funds, stating that the ultimate goal of the budget consultation is not ‘just to allocate funds but to empower everyone to translate their proposals to impactful initiatives’.

The offices of the Vice President for Administration and Vice President for Planning and Quality Assurance, through the Finance Division and Institutional Planning Division, facilitated the said budget review and consultation which was participated in by all Vice Presidents, Chancellor, all Campus/College/School Deans, and Directors of the University. Serving as the consultation panel were representatives from the University faculty, non-teaching staff and personnel, students, alumni, retirees, and PEACE 911.
