Enthusiasm sparked the community across campuses as the University of Southeastern Philippines (USeP) kicked off the first day of classes of the Academic Year 2024-2025 on August 19, 2024.

To ease students into the new academic year, the first week of classes will be filled with general orientations facilitated and conducted by each college and school.

University President Dr. Bonifacio G. Gabales, Jr. officially opened the classes and welcomed the new and returning students during the flag-raising ceremony at the USeP Obrero Campus.

Dr. Gabales remarked that the week’s value, Discipline, is very timely for the opening of classes. “To have peace and order, we need to follow simple rules required by our organization where we belong, the University of Southeastern Philippines,” he said. He also invited the students to attend their General Convocation, spearheaded by the Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS), at the University Gymnasium and Cultural Center (UGCC).

To wrap up, Dr. Gabales conveyed the University’s excitement about the community’s path forward and the promising opportunities awaiting USeP. “The University looks forward to a productive academic year ahead,” he said.

The USeP Malabog Extension Campus faculty, staff, and students also started this academic year with a flag-raising ceremony. Meanwhile, the Mintal Campus conducted its Acquaintance activities for the first-year students last August 12-15, 2024.

Moreover, the Tagum Unit and the Mabini Unit of the USeP Tagum-Mabini Campus will conduct their respective General Convocation today.
