What initially began as the Institute of Language (IL) has evolved into the expansive Institute of Languages and Creative Arts, with a strong emphasis on harnessing the arts' transformative power in language acquisition.

The Institute of Languages and Creative Arts offers diverse short courses designed to foster skills and appreciation in both language studies and the creative arts. These courses provide accreditation for 16 to 120 hours of study and practical activities, allowing learners to delve into their chosen fields with depth and flexibility.
Languages Short Courses:
Our language courses support the study of both foreign and Philippine languages, offering a curriculum that prepares students for language proficiency tests such as IELTS and TOEFL. These courses can be used to:
- Introduce or supplement language learning for students of all ages
- Enhance academic excellence in language studies
- Support learners of all abilities to succeed and enjoy language learning
- Provide flexible learning opportunities to fit individual needs
- Award certificates of achievement for various language-learning activities
Creative Arts Short Courses:
Our creative arts courses focus on visual arts, music, poetry, drama, and performance. They provide a rich curriculum that helps students develop their artistic skills and appreciation. These courses can be used to:
- Introduce or enhance skills in visual arts and music
- Support academic excellence in literary and artistic studies
- Enable learners of all abilities to succeed in creative arts
- Offer flexible learning options tailored to individual circumstances
- Award certificates of achievement for various artistic and literary activities

The Languages Short Course has been developed in partnership with the English Program of the College of Arts and Sciences. It aims to support Foreign and Philippine Languages but is not limited to these. The course offers accreditation for 16 to 120 hours of foreign language studies and activities. It provides a curriculum that can prepare students for language proficiency tests such as IELTS and TOEFL.
The course can be used in the following ways:
- As an introductory or companion course for students of different ages who are learning a language
- To support academic excellence in language studies
- For learners of all abilities in all languages to enjoy and succeed
- In flexible ways to fit your situation
- For certificates of achievement in a variety of language-learning activities
- To make language learning more relevant to young people by contextualizing, enthusing, developing skills, deepening knowledge, understanding and communication, and building confidence
The Short Course can be completed using the student book or through online learning. Learners can log in to complete challenges, record skills development, and upload evidence. Tutors can view learner progress, sign off work, and provide feedback as needed.

It aims to support studying and appreciating Poetry, Drama, and Performance. The course offers face-to-face or online sessions for 16 to 120 hours of literary studies and activities, providing a rich curriculum that enhances students' understanding and skills in these artistic domains.
The course can be used in the following ways:
- As an introductory or companion course for students of different ages who are exploring poetry, drama, and performance
