USeP conducts seminar-workshop on Records Management


Representatives from different offices and colleges participated in the Seminar-Workshop on Basic Records Management and Crafting of the University Records Disposition Schedule on December 17-18, 2018 at the College of Education (CEd) building, University of Southeastern Philippines (USeP) Obrero campus.

Dr. Ronaldo C. Ferariza, Head of the Regional Archival Network (Davao) from the National Archives of the Philippines, facilitated the two-day activity, which was organized by the University Records’ Office and the Human Resource Management Division.

Among the topics discussed include Records Management, Time and Utility Values of Records, Records Disposition Administration, and Archives Management.

During the seminar on Records Disposition, Dr. Ferariza emphasized that the University cannot afford to lose vital records, especially archival records, because these will form the cultural heritage of an organization.

Dr. Bonifacio G. Gabales, Jr., Vice President for Planning, Quality Assurance, and Resource Management (PQuARM), in his closing message, thanked the resource speaker for sharing his insights on the proper disposal of documents. He also congratulated the participants for completing the workshop activities.
