USeP bags award during the 30th National Statistics Month


The University of Southeastern Philippines won the Best Statistical Activity Conducted by a Government Institution during the 30th National Statistics Month Awards (30th NSM) held last October 20, 2020.

USeP was given the award “for its unparalleled performance and exemplary dedication towards the successful conduct of the statistical activity entitled “Statistical Forum on Data Innovation and Development” last October 2019. This activity, along with the different 30th NSM activities in USeP, was organized by the College of Arts and Sciences and the College of Applied Economics in partnership with the Socio-Economics Research and Data Analytics Center (SERDAC) in Mindanao.

The NSM Awards has been instituted since 2002 to recognize agencies’ outstanding participation and to encourage them to be more active in their involvement in the observance of NSM. The NSM is conducted annually pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 647, s. 1990 “Declaring the Month of October of Every Year as the National Statistics Month,” to promote, enhance, and instill awareness and appreciation of the importance and value of statistics to the different sectors of society.
