Fourteen (14) participants from the University of Southeastern Philippines participated in the recently conducted Certificate Course on Futures Thinking last March 2021 via the Zoom platform. The activity had eight (8) sessions which were held every Thursday and Friday, 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM, for the whole month of March.
The Certificate Course on Futures Thinking was launched by the Development Academy of the Philippines Graduate School of Public and Development Management (DAP-GSPDM). This certificate course hopes to strengthen the anticipatory capacity of our lawmakers, governance, and public policy systems and processes.

As a final requirement of the course, the USeP Team submitted the project titled “Paquibato District 2040: Plausible Futures of Indigenous Peoples Education for Peace and Development”, which was awarded the Best Paper, group category.
All the learnings gained from this relevant program are useful in the preparation of the University for its five-year Strategic Plan for 2022-2026.
