Three (3) graduates of the University of Southeastern Philippines (USeP) were among the topnotchers in the January 2022 Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET), namely: Dexter Tutor Orzal, Geore Mae Quibrar Pelandras, and Clarice Tan Montuya who clinched the 5th, 6th, and 10th spots in the LET Secondary and Elementary Levels, respectively.
Orzal, a graduate from the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) who took up ), USeP-Obrero Campus, garnered 91.80%; while Pelandras and Montuya, both from the College of Teacher Education and Technology (CTET), passed with a rating of 91.60% and 90.80%, respectively.
USeP-Davao performed 83.33% and 77.78% passing rates for Elementary and Secondary Levels, while USeP Tagum-Mabini Campus achieved a 100 % passing rate in both levels.
According to the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and Board for Professional Teachers (BPT), 55.66 percent of the 15,696 examinees passed the examination for elementary teachers, while 53.77 percent of 22,454 examinees made the cut in the examination for secondary teachers.
PRC also said that of the 8,737 elementary teacher passers, 2,678 are first-time examinees while 6,059 are repeat examiners. For secondary teachers, 4,652 passers are first-timers and 7,422 are repeat examiners.
