Three (3) programs from the College of Education of USeP Obrero Campus underwent Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP) Online Program Accreditation from April 4 to 6, 2022. AACCUP conducted a survey visit to evaluate the following programs: Bachelor of Technical Teacher Education (Majors: Automotive Technology, Computer Technology, Electrical Technology, Electronics Technology, Mechanical Technology, Civil Technology, Heating, Ventilating, and Air-conditioning Technology) for Level IV Phase 2; Bachelor of Elementary Education (Majors: Early Childhood Education, Special Education) for Level IV Area V; and Bachelor of Secondary Education (Majors: English, Biological Science, Music, Arts, Physical Education, and Health) for Level IV Area I, III, IV, and V.
Level IV Accredited status recognition is the highest level of quality that a program can achieve through program accreditation. According to the CHED Memorandum No. 1 series of 2005, Level IV Reaccredited status is only awarded to academic programs that are highly respected in the country as very high-quality programs.
During the opening meeting, University President Lourdes C. Generalao expressed her deepest gratitude to the accreditors and to the men and women behind the accreditation for their commitment and love for the University. The AACCUP survey visit was led by Dr. Manuel A. Sanchez, Jr. together with Dr. Noel S. Quidito and Dr. Jaime M. Forbes. This three-day survey visit provided enough time for the accreditors to review and evaluate the previous visits’ compliance report; investigate and assess the actions taken as well as the level of compliance with its recommendation; and browse, analyze, and evaluate the narrative profiles which were presented by the programs. The survey visit ended with an accreditation impression from the accreditors.
AACCUP is a highly esteemed partner of the University in promoting and ensuring the quality and excellence in education through a sustained program assessment and accreditation over the years.
