CDM and CAS programs Underwent Level I and Level II Accreditation Visits Anew


Four programs from USeP’s Obrero and Mintal campuses underwent Level I and II AACCUP Online Program Accreditation from July 18 to 22, 2022. AACCUP conducted a survey visit to assess the University’s four programs which include the Master of Science in Development Administration of the College of Development Management, and the College of Arts and Sciences’ Bachelor of Science in Biology vies for Level I Status while Master of English in Applied Linguistics and Master of Science in Biology for Level II Survey Revisit Area VI.

In the Opening program, the Vice President for Planning and Quality Assurance, Dr. Tamara Cher R. Mercado expressed gratitude to the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines, Inc. (AACCUP) as the University’s essential active partner in its constant pursuit of quality education and holistic learning outcomes. Thus, this partnership has yielded positive results over the years that are discernable through the quality of graduates equipped with competencies aligned with the National and International standards that the USeP has produced. On the other hand, University President Dr. Lourdes C. Generalao expressed her appreciation towards the people behind the success of the one-week-long accreditation for their unwavering dedication to achieving greater heights for the sake of the University’s excellence and professionalism.

The AACCUP Accreditors was headed by Dr. Riceli C. Mendoza as the overall Coordinator with Dr. Rodolfo C. Moreno and Dr. Richard F. Clemente as Team Leaders together with Dr. Jenina V. Tolentino, Prof. Mary Grace T. Sandico and Prof. Isabel Noreen R. Rairata. The five-day survey visit provided enough time for the accreditors to evaluate and review the previous visits’ compliance report, inspected, and reassess the actions taken as well as the level of compliance with its recommendation from the narrative profiles which were submitted by the programs. The survey visit ended with an accreditation impression from the accreditors.

This accreditation visit is the third of the scheduled visits this year in line with the University’s goal of achieving the highest percentage of Graduate and Undergraduate Programs to hold an accredited status in line with the University’s quest in becoming a Premiere Research University in the ASEAN and beyond.
