USeP BSHM studes in Chandigarh University, India for Semester Abroad Program


Twenty-two (22) students from the College of Business Administration (CBA) under the Bachelor of Science in Hotel Management major in Hotel Administration (BSHM-HA) and Culinary Arts Management (BSHM-CAM) were sent to Chandigarh University (CU), India for a Semester Abroad Program (SAP) from September to December 2022, as part of the internationalization efforts of the University.

The said program aims to let the students experience and appreciate new places and cultures, establish friendships with international students, and gain a global perspective while earning credits for their respective degrees.

During the pre-departure briefing, Dr. Reynaldo M. Nogodula, Officer-in-Charge of USeP International Affairs Division (IAD), reiterated the significance of the event not just for the development of USeP and its Internationalization endeavors but also for the growth of the students by equipping them with global knowledge and skills.

Also, Dr. Bonifacio G. Gabales, Jr., USeP Vice President for Academic Affairs, has extended his congratulations to the participating students and reminded them to keep doing their best as they are no longer just bringing their names and USeP, they are also representing the whole Filipino community.

Accompanying the students are Dr. Ma. Joy G. Soriano, College of Business Administration (CBA) Associate Dean; and Dr. Elisa E. Braganza, CBA BSHM Program Head.

It can be recalled that the University entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with CU in 2016, and was renewed earlier this year, on February 26, 2022.
