USeP, SM ink academic partnership, OJT collaboration


The University of Southeastern Philippines (USeP) entered into a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with the SM City Davao and SM Lanang Premier management for an academic partnership including an internship program on April 11, 2023, at SMX Convention Center, SM Lanang Premier, Davao City.

With the MoA, SM will provide a platform for USeP students and interns to be deployed to learn various fields of mall operations from engineering, information technology, to business.

USeP Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Bonifacio G. Gabales, Jr., represented University President, Dr. Lourdes C. Generalao; while representing SM were Ms. Ma. Ruby Saño, SM Supermalls Regional Human Resources Manager; Ms. Kimberly Ann Remolona, SM Lanang Premier Assistant Mall Manager; and Mr. Lester Tantoco, SM City Davao mall manager.

Also present during the MoA signing were Dr. Jose Alther M. Rivera, USeP-Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS) Director; Dr. Christopher C. Gonzales, USeP Institutional Internship/OJT Coordinator; Dr. Mary Ann C. Cacananta, USeP Career and Alumni Center (CAC) Director; Dr. Dalia M. Reconalla, USeP College of Engineering (CoE) Dean; Dr. Gilbert M. Gordo, USeP College of Business Administration (CBA) Dean; and Asst. Prof. Nash N. Reginio, USeP CBA- BS in Business Administration Program Head.
Both parties look forward to the fruits of the said collaboration in transforming the lives of students and the community.
