In consonance with the 123rd Anniversary of the Philippine Civil Service, the University of Southeastern Philippines (USeP), through the Human Resource Management Division (HRMD), held the 2023 Government Service Awarding Ceremony (GSAC) on October 6, 2023, at The Ritz Hotel at Garden Oases, Bo. Obrero, Davao City.
The occasion brought together USeP service providers- both teaching and non-teaching personnel of the University- to honor and recognize their unwavering dedication, loyalty, and commitment to the betterment of the University and its community. Officials, Faculty, and Staff received Loyalty Awards for their 10, 15, 20, 25, 35, and 40 years of service in government.
University President Dr. Lourdes C. Generalao delivered a welcome address and expressed her heartfelt gratitude for the tireless efforts of the University employees in service of the USeP constituency. She remarked that every dedicated service has been a foundation of USeP’s growth and development. “As we honor you today, may you take pride in your achievements, and may you continue to find joy and fulfillment in the work that you do. Your service is a testament to the noblest ideals of public service, and it serves as an inspiration to us all. Thank you, and congratulations to the 2023 Government Service Awardees. Believe that your legacy of service will continue to inspire generations to come,” she said.
Civil Service Commission (CSC) Regional Office XI Chief Human Resource Specialist Danilo Jessie Dumandagan gave an inspirational message to the attendees of the said ceremony. He highlighted how USeP has helped the Commission develop the quality of civil service in the Region. “Together, let us continue working for public service excellence. Mabuhay ang mga kawani ng University of Southeastern Philippines. Mabuhay ang Philippine Civil Service. Mabuhay ang Lingkod-Bayani. Mabuhay tayong lahat,” he said.

USeP Vice President for Administration Dr. Maria Luisa B. Faunillan gave her closing remarks. Dr. Faunillan thanked the attendees for their commitment to the improvement of the University. “May you continue to be an inspiration for your unwavering dedication. May your legacy in service be a guiding light for generations to come,” she said.
The ceremony concluded with a gala dinner, providing an opportunity for USeP officials, award recipients, and guests to connect and celebrate the achievements of the evening.
