USeP is one of the 47 member institutions of the Regional Health Research and Development Consortium (RHRDC) XI, which pledged to promote health-related research, legislations, and activities during the 13th Health R&D Expo held on November 28-29, 2023, at Grand Men Seng Hotel, Davao City.
Bearing the theme, “Strengthening Engagement with the Regional Health Consortia: Paving the Way for Sustainable Good Health and Well-being,” the event was spearheaded by RHRDC XI in coordination with the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) XI and the Philippine Council for Health Research and Development (PCHRD).
The University represented by the Vice President for Research, Development, and Extension (VPRDE), Dr. Shirley S. Villanueva, vowed to continuously support the RHRDC XI by sharing its capabilities and resources, appointing permanent representatives, fostering public-private sector partnerships, encouraging the development of research projects and programs, undertaking capacity building programs and supporting legislation and policies with institutionalize the Philippine National Health and Research System.
Moreover, the event aims to provide an opportunity for researchers and institutions to showcase their health research results and provide a venue for disseminating completed health research, hence increasing the general public’s appreciation of the value and impact of health research on the community.
