Get ready to be swept away by the vibrant and diverse talents of our nation! The 2024 Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges- National Culture and Arts Festival (PASUC- NCAF) officially opened on April 23, 2024, at the Philippine Normal University (PNU) in Manila. This colossal event brought together 16 regions, with the University of Southeastern Philippines (USeP) sending student artists to represent Region XI by showcasing their talents and skills in numerous musical,
visual, and chorale competitions.
The opening ceremony was indeed a cultural spectacle. The Fest kicked off with a lively community dance and crescendos with a dazzling fireworks display, setting the festive mood. Senator Pia S. Cayetano delivered an inspirational message to officially commence the Fest. Her rousing remarks set the stage for this remarkable gathering of Filipino arts and culture. The ceremony also included messages inviting the participants to partake in the cultural exchange, camaraderie, and meaningful friendship from Hon. John Marvin C. Nieto, Vice Mayor of the City of Manila; Dr. Bert J. Tuga, Chair of PASUC- National Capital Region and President of PNU; and Dr. Tirso A. Ronquillo, President of PASUC and Batangas State University (BatSU).
Moreover, USeP President Dr. Bonifacio G. Gabales, Jr. and Vice President for Administration Dr. Maria Luisa D. Faunillan graced the occasion with their presence.
