In the spirit of unity and camaraderie, the University of Southeastern Philippines (USeP) held a University-wide Family Day in line with the theme of the 124th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary, “Transforming Public Service in the Next Decade: Honing Agile and Future-Ready Servant-Heroes”, at the Physical Education and Cultural Center, USeP Tagum-Mabini Campus, Tagum Unit, on September 20, 2024.
This year’s Family Day drew inspiration from the vibrant and festive atmosphere of the traditional Fiestang Pinoy, aiming to foster social interaction and team building within the USeP community through various games and competitions.
The event brought together regular employees, job order (JO) workers, contract of service (COS) staff, and outsourced personnel from all USeP campuses.
University President Dr. Bonifacio G. Gabales, Jr. expressed his thanks to the members of the community for attending such an event that plays a crucial role in nurturing and imbibing the University’s core values of collaboration, accountability, resilience, excellence, and being service oriented.
President Gabales also highlighted that the shared love and care for USeP keep the community united in reaching milestones and maintaining high standards and quality in service- demonstrated by the University’s recent achievement of the Philippine Quality Award Level III.
The Bughaw Team emerged as the overall champion after successfully completing eight team-building challenges and games. A special award was given to Team Puti for being the best in Cheers and Yells.
In her closing remarks, University Vice President for Administration Dr. Maria Luisa B. Faunillan thanked the attendees for their support and participation in the various activities lined up for the celebration. She also put the importance of unity for the University front and center in her speech despite coming from different campuses and backgrounds.
