Davao City, Philippines – The University of Southeastern Philippines (USeP) marked a milestone in its history with a memorable and forward-thinking event—the Time Capsule Burial Ceremony, held on December 15, 2024, at the façade of the New Administration Building at the USeP Obrero Campus. This significant occasion is part of the University’s 46th founding anniversary celebration and highlights USeP’s commitment to shaping a brighter future.
The program began with a display of futuristic styles and clothing worn by models. This was followed by a presentation from Dr. Daisy T. Besing, Futures Thinking Program Manager, who explained the rationale and methodology behind the time capsule. She detailed how workshops and surveys gathered meaningful contributions from students, faculty, alumni, and non-teaching staff to encapsulate the University’s aspirations.
The contents of the time capsule were formally presented by USeP President, Dr. Bonifacio G. Gabales Jr., who called on the USeP community to work collectively toward realizing the University’s envisioned future by 2040.
The ceremony also featured esteemed guests, including USeP’s top management, members of the Admin Council, sector representatives, and former University presidents Dr. Lourdes C. Generalao and Dr. Julieta I. Ortiz. Both former leaders praised the University’s continuous growth and the efforts of all those who have contributed to the University’s success over the years.
This symbolic ceremony served as a testament to USeP’s legacy of excellence and its vision for the years to come.
