The University of Southeastern Philippines (USeP) Obrero Campus has been granted Level 1 Institutional Accreditation (IA) by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP) during the 38th AACCUP Annual National Conference on March 5-7, 2025, in Marikina City. USeP was one of the four State Universities and Colleges that were awarded institutional accreditation during the event.
University President Dr. Bonifacio G. Gabales, Jr., together with Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Jeneifer C. Nueva, Vice President for Administration Dr. Maria Luisa B. Faunillan, and Vice President for Planning and Quality Assurance Dr. Tamara Cher R. Mercado, received the award.
Level 1 Institutional Accreditation is awarded to colleges/universities that demonstrate a commitment to quality education across all institutional processes, including academic programs, governance, faculty, facilities, and student services. Pre-requisites for the said award demand that all programs are accredited Level 1, or at least 75% of the programs are accredited Level 1, and the rest are at the candidate status.
With this recognition, USeP is poised to enhance its academic offerings further and pursue higher accreditation levels. External campuses will likewise undergo institutional accreditation in the future.
