The University of Southeastern Philippines (USeP) posted an improved performance in the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings 2025, moving up to 986th place globally from its 2024 ranking of 1016th. The University also made it in the national listing, placing 48th among Philippine higher education institutions.
This year’s ranking became even more competitive, with 1,745 universities worldwide participating in the assessment. This marks a significant increase from the 1,477 institutions included in the 2024 cycle. Despite the larger pool of participants, USeP advanced in the global ranking, reflecting continued progress in its sustainability initiatives.
UI GreenMetric evaluates universities based on six criteria: Setting and Infrastructure, Energy and Climate Change, Water, Waste, Transportation, and Education and Research. USeP’s upward movement highlights improvements across several environmental management areas and reinforces the University’s ongoing integration of sustainability in campus operations and academic programs.
The University extends its warmest congratulations to its campuses, offices, faculty, staff, students, and partners whose collective efforts contributed to this significant achievement. Strengthened in national and global sustainability rankings, USeP moves forward as a catalyst that transforms the lives and communities it serves, becoming a smart, green, and future-ready institution.
