The University of Southeastern Philippines (USeP), through the College of Development Management (CDM), hosted Her Excellency Fediv Yuliia Oleksandrivna as guest speaker for the International Forum, Ukraine–Philippines Relations in a Changing Global Order, held on May 11, 2026, at the USeP Mintal Campus in Davao City.
University President Dr. Bonifacio G. Gabales Jr. welcomed Ambassador Fediv and recognized the forum as an academic platform connecting classroom learning with contemporary diplomatic issues. He emphasized the importance of intercultural understanding and global awareness in preparing future public servants, aligned with SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) and SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities).
In her presentation, Ambassador Fediv discussed the humanitarian and geopolitical impacts of the Russia–Ukraine conflict, emphasizing peacebuilding, humanitarian support, and respect for international law. Drawing from her background in diplomacy, cultural policy, and international cooperation, she provided multidisciplinary perspectives on Ukraine–Philippines relations in a changing global context. She also underscored the importance of responsible communication and international cooperation in addressing global challenges, consistent with SDG 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions). In addition, she highlighted ongoing Ukraine–Philippines cooperation in trade, education, and culture, and encouraged stronger academic exchanges and people-to-people engagement between the two countries in support of SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
Faculty members and students participated in an open forum, where they engaged Ambassador Fediv in discussions on international relations and global affairs. The program concluded with remarks from CDM Dean Grace Meroflor A. Lantajo, who thanked Ambassador Fediv for traveling to Davao City to engage with USeP students and faculty.
The forum supports SDG 4 (Quality Education) by promoting global awareness, critical thinking, and policy analysis among future public administrators.
